About Us

The Aspire Community Foundation (The Foundation) is a family run foundation that supports the work our Member Directors have been engaged in for several years in Sri Lanka.  Our Founder Nayanee Silva, with her family have been actively engaged in supporting rural and disadvantaged communities in the Western, Southern and North Eastern Provinces through welfare, education and development projects for over 25 years.

The Aspire Community Foundation continues this work with the second and third generation of the family to empower and elevate the lives of Sri Lankans who do not have access to opportunities afforded to urban, educated and better-connected communities.  Our overarching aim is to bridge the inequality gap between communities, supporting all races and religions to overcome obstacles to education, employment and sustainable livelihoods.

We hope to achieve our aims through working collaboratively with other carefully chosen non-profit organisations and grassroots volunteers, to ensure that funds go directly to the causes we support.

The Directors work on a voluntary basis for The Foundation, without remuneration.

The Foundation does not raise funds from public donations. The projects we engage in are funded privately. Funds are applied directly to projects and expenses are kept to a minimum to ensure that the recipients get the maximum benefit from funding. If you are interested in supporting any of the causes featured, you can contact us for further information.

Projects and causes are featured on this site to create awareness and to provide information on how to support and donate to these causes.

Our aim is to “Bridge the inequality gap through working together“.
